Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan not only extended an olive’s branch at Arpita Khan’s wedding celebrations but also decided to take their this reconciliation to another level by promoting each others movies on social media. While it is a win-win situation for these two superstars looks like Aamir Khan isn’t very pleased with this development. Why do we say? Buzz in the industry is that Aamir ‘suddenly feels sidelined and cornered’.
In fact, Salman even threatened to quit Twitter after some of his fans went bashing his industry colleagues. Afterwards when SRK tweeted Bajrangi Bhaijaan first poster, everybody within the industry and outside felt that this was 2015′s best film publicity. For the first time the warring Khans were together and what was even better was that they were not being competitive. Of course Aamir too joined Salman’s publicity bandwagon, but clearly it was SRK-Salman dosti that became the talk of town. AK ended up being an after thought.
Next it was Bhai-Bhai feeling on social media and before the press. Both the Khans hogged limelight and went to say sweet things about each other. Soon after which we saw how Salman returned Shah Rukh‘s favour by supporting his film Raees on Twitter. Considering that SRK’s Raees will battle Salman’s Sultan at the box office in 2016 Eid, this step by the latter was considered as a magnanimous gesture. They also exchanged messages like BFFs on their respective micro-blogging page, wishing each other and talking about homemade biryani. Aamir was nowhere in the picture. No wonder Mr Perfection felt sidelined by his buddy.
A source told BollywoodLife, “With both Salman and Shah Rukh promoting each other, Aamir is suddenly the lonely one. When SRK was not in good terms with Salman, Aamir was more comfortable. He was never known to be friends with Shah Rukh, so Salman’s closeness with his rival is not a good sign. Also both Salman and SRK are very spontaneous, unlike Aamir who is very calculative and likes to plan his every move.”
Not so long ago, Salman had also taken a jibe at Aamir for talking behind his back. At a news channel’s event, the three Khans were to make a joint appearance on stage. Salman and SRK agreed, but it seems Aamir wasn’t very comfortable doing this impromptu jig coz he felt that his Satyameva Jayate image didn’t quite go with the brand that Salman and Shah TRukh stand for. On finding out about AK’s comment Salman had joked about this to SRK in front of AK who was left red faced.
And with Salman and Shah Rukh becoming thick friends again it seems like Aamir is worried if he will find any support from his buddy and his dost for his filmi promotions like in the past. Well, knowing Sallu he might just manage to drive away all his worries by standing by his friend when the time comes. As for SRK and Aamir, we aren’t very sure if these two Khans will be friends.
