01) Shah Rukh Khan impressed one and all with his comically investigative skills in Baadshah.The film hit the screens on August 27, 1999 and managed to make a decent number at the box office. Apparently this movie was a inspired from Hollywood film 'Nick of Time'. Baadshah starred Twinkle Khanna opposite SRK in this film, which was released in 23 screens. 02)While Twinkle Khanna never made it big in Bollywood, Baadshah is remembered as one of her best performances. SRK and Twinkle made for a cute onscreen couple. Apparently there was tricky incident which happened during the shooting of this movie. According to IMDB, while shooting for the romantic number Hum to Deewane Huye, Twinkle Khanna was dancing in the rain in a sari, she tripped in it and fell down. The actress was drenched in mud while shooting for the number.
03)Apart from Twinkle Khanna as the leading lady, Deepshika played a vital female role in the movie. Her character had a negative shade, who was working for the ultimate villain, Amrish Puri. According to IMDB the original choice for Deepshikha's role in the movie was Sushmita Sen. However for reasons best known to the makers of Baadshah the beauty queen never made it to the cast of the film. Deepshikha too played the character very well.
04)The climax of Baadshah has Shah Rukh Khan pulling some very interesting stunts. He has to kill a politician in order to save the life of a small girl. Apparently this end was similar to that of a Hollywood flick. The climax sequence of Baadshah was inspired from Johnny Depp starrer Hollywood movie Nick of Time which released in 1995. Shah Rukh Khan very expertly executed this end, with the help of his friends and some quirky tools.
05)Twinkle Khanna did justice to her role of Seema Malhotra. However the makers had not initially planned to have her in the leading role. Apparently the character of Seema was first offered to Karisma Kapoor. Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor proved their amazing chemistry in Dil Toh Pagal Hai which released in 1997. And the makers may have thought of repeating the same with Baadshah. However Karisma refused the role, which is when Twinkle stepped in.
