After five films with Akshay Kumar (Rowdy Rathore, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara, Holiday, Joker) and songs in OMG and Boss, Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to do another film with him. The film, Namaste England is helmed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who directed Namastey London with Akshay and Katrina Kaif.
Says a source, “Sonakshi and Akshay had stopped signing films together after their pair began looking stale on screen. They decided to take a break from doing films together. Meanwhile, Sona did films with Shahid Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Kapoor to break the monotony. It worked and now Vipul thinks they can be reunited on screen in his romance film set in England.”
Vipul says, “Namaste England is not a sequel to Namastey London. It’s a love story which has been written by the NL team, Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair and me. Akshay is putting together the entire project.”
The film is being produced by Kriaj Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Essel Vision Production.
